Brass Sounds Inverclyde, was formed in 2004. The band is located in Greenock, on the banks of the River Clyde.

The first contest that the band competed in was The Whitburn Invitation Contest  in November 2004, with their first appearance at the Scottish Championships (4th Section) in March 2005, where the band came a credible 6th place.

The bands first major contest win came in February 2008 at the Fife Brass Band Festival. The band has continued to have varying degrees of success throughout its short history. You can see our full honours here.

The band is comprised of players of all ages, where they play a wide variety of musical styles ranging from classical to modern light rock / pop.  The band always endeavour to keep our programmes interesting and varied.

The band employs a resident conductor to deliver professional musical direction for both contesting and general performances and it’s our ongoing aim always to be improving.
